Industry Introduction

Combined road and water transport is the core mode connecting ports, locks and land transportation, especially in inland river hubs (such as the Yangtze River and Pearl River basins), where it undertakes the "last mile" transshipment of bulk goods.

Short-distance transport upstream and downstream of the lock needs to operate in a high-frequency (10-15 trips per day), heavy-load (load ≥ 49 tons) and fixed-route environment (port-yard-lock area).

As of 2025, fuel-powered tractors will still account for more than 70% of the short-distance ship lock market, but their high pollution and low efficiency pain points are increasingly in conflict with the "dual carbon" policy and the port greening goals.
