Taxis typically operate in two shifts, and the short refueling time (approximately 5 minutes) of gasoline-powered vehicles is particularly well-suited to this continuous operation model. In contrast, electric vehicles require a longer charging time (approximately 3 hours), significantly impacting vehicle handover and operational efficiency. While gasoline-powered vehicles still account for a significant portion of the market, policies are driving the online ride-hailing industry's shift toward new energy vehicles. Some cities require that new energy vehicles account for 80% of new ride-hailing vehicles.
